WHY BE A SPONSOR?Honoring our veterans has been a long-standing tradition in the United States. Since the first Armistice Day celebration on November 11, 1919, veterans have been honored on that date each year. The Veterans Day observance in Birmingham, Alabama, November 11, 1947, was the first year the event was changed to Veterans Day (from Armistice Day) and signed into legislation by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, June 1954. It is the one day each year that family, friends and the U.S. populous in general celebrate those diseased and living military heroes who so proudly served our country.

Golf is the vehicle the VDC uses to not only honor our veterans, but at the same time provide veteran and non-veteran groups, much needed funding, through the support of corporate sponsors, individual contributors, players and friends of the tournament(s). Your generosity will be noted as a 501 (c) 3 charitable contribution, federal tax deductible. Any portion of your contribution that goes directly to our charities of choice of 2023 is deemed a charitable donation. TheVDC will provide sponsors with the appropriate information shortly after the tournament is completed.
